COMMONALITY OF DEPRESSION

II. Majority of Americans will suffer from it sometime during their life.
III. One out of every four women and one out of every ten males suffer from the disorder currently.
IV. Depression is the number one cause of suicide with a 15-45% success rate based upon socio-economic
background. The higher the socioeconomic level the higher the success rate.
V. Most prevalent in ages 40’s and 50’s and teen’s.
